JAMB UTME Syllabus
The JAMB UTME syllabus covers 25 subjects. Every candidate sits four subjects — English Language is compulsory, plus three others chosen to match your course. Each subject below lists its general objectives, every topic with its objectives, and the recommended textbooks, drawn from the official JAMB syllabus.

- Biology Living organisms, cells, ecology, genetics and human physiology.
- Chemistry Atomic structure, bonding, reactions, organic and physical chemistry.
- Christian Religious Studies Themes from the Old and New Testaments and Christian ethics.
- Commerce Trade, business organisations, finance and aids to trade.
- Computer Studies Newly added UTME subject covering computing fundamentals and ICT.
- Economics Micro- and macroeconomics, money, trade and economic development.
- French French comprehension, grammar, composition and culture.
- Geography Physical, human and regional geography plus map reading.
- Government Political concepts, systems, institutions and Nigerian government.
- Hausa Hausa language, literature and culture.
- History Nigerian, African and world history and historical analysis.
- Home Economics Foods and nutrition, home management, clothing and textiles.
- Igbo Igbo language, literature and culture.
- Islamic Religious Studies The Qur'an, Hadith, Tawhid, Fiqh and Islamic history.
- Literature in English Drama, prose and poetry, literary terms and set texts.
- Mathematics Number, algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics for the UTME.
- Music Theory of music, history, aural and practical musicianship.
- Physical and Health Education Newly added UTME subject covering physical education and health.
- Physics Mechanics, heat, waves, optics, electricity, magnetism and modern physics.
- Principles of Accounts Bookkeeping, financial statements and accounting principles.
- Yoruba Yoruba language, literature and culture.
